Event ticket terms

These terms apply when you reserve or buy a ticket through the Cliff House Salcombe website. Any additional event-specific terms are shown with the event.

Seller details: Cliff House Trust Limited, company 07752930, registered charity 1146359, Cliff House, Cliff Road, Salcombe, Devon, TQ8 8JQ, unless the event listing expressly identifies another organiser as the seller.

Ticket questions: [email protected]

1. Booking and payment

The event page describes the event, date, venue, ticket type, price and any event-specific refund policy. Please check these details before booking. Your order is accepted when we issue a booking confirmation or ticket. If payment is due online, the booking is not complete until payment is authorised. If the event uses pay-at-the-door tickets, payment is due on the terms shown with the event.

The total price and any unavoidable fee are shown before you confirm. Online card payments are processed securely by our payment provider; we do not receive your full card number.

2. Ticket holders and delivery

The buyer must provide accurate information and have permission to provide details for other ticket holders. Tickets may be delivered to the buyer or directly to named holders. Keep the confirmation or ticket available for check-in. A duplicated, altered or invalid ticket may be refused.

3. Cancellation and refunds

Tickets for leisure events on a specific date do not normally carry the statutory 14-day cancellation right. Unless the event-specific policy says otherwise, a change of mind, inability to attend, travel disruption or personal circumstances does not create an automatic refund right. This does not affect your statutory rights.

If we or the organiser cancels an event, the buyer will normally be offered a refund of the ticket price paid. If an event is postponed or materially changed, we will explain the available options. We are not responsible for travel, accommodation or other indirect costs except where the law requires otherwise.

4. Transfers and resale

Contact the event organiser before transferring a named ticket. Tickets must not be resold commercially or above face value. We may refuse a ticket obtained through unauthorised resale where necessary to protect attendees, the organiser or the event.

5. Admission, safety and accessibility

Please follow reasonable venue, organiser and safety instructions. Admission may be refused, or a person may be asked to leave, for unlawful, unsafe, abusive or seriously disruptive conduct. A refund is not normally due in those circumstances.

We want events to be welcoming and accessible. Contact us before the event to discuss access requirements or reasonable adjustments. See our accessibility statement.

6. Problems and complaints

Send ticket or event questions to the organiser address shown on the event page, or to [email protected] where no organiser address is supplied. Include the event name, booking reference and a short explanation. Our complaints policy explains the review process.

7. Privacy, liability and law

We use booking and ticket-holder information as described in our privacy and cookies notice. Nothing in these terms excludes consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory rights you have as a consumer.
