Cliff House is an expensive building to maintain because of its age, and the financial burden is increased by a growing list of regulatory obligations on the Trustees. The cash reserves of the Trust are currently counterbalanced by debt. The Trust receives income from the leasing of parts of the building and from the hiring of its public rooms.
